The critical Global Skills Gap is impacting virtually every Industry, and the Construction Industry is not immune to this challenge. With an estimated skills shortage of circa 250,000 people required over the next 10 years', achieving the Governments target of building 1.5m low carbon, new homes, is under threat.

There is an estimated construction skills shortage of circa 250,000 people required over next ten years. A major barrier to increasing the number of tradespeople entering the industry is the small number of trainers and assessors operating in further education, limiting the number of students’ providers could recruit.
